A number of road and safety initiatives are scheduled to be undertaken over the Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2024 including:
MacFarlane Road: implementation of approved traffic calming measures
Grenfell Crescent (between Woodroffe Avenue and 300m eastward): road resurfacing
Merivale Road (near St. Monica’s School): installation of Automated Speed Enforcement Camera
In addition, other temporary traffic calming measures can be implemented in consultation with local residents. The Glens Community Association is currently working with Councillor Devine and the City to identify areas of concern where temporary calming measures might be appropriate to improve safety on local roads.
If you have an area of concern that you would like to have considered, please send an email to executive@glenscommunity.ca identifying the specific concern and location. If you can include a photograph, that will be helpful.
Keep in mind that there are constraints on specific measures as well as a limited budget available to implement the measures and that all areas will be considered, but not all will be implemented.
