Calling all Glens Gardeners and Aspiring Gardeners!

Register now to participate in The Glens - Gardens and Giving Project

In the spirit of community building and environmental stewardship, your Glens Community Association is pleased to present a spring through summer initiative for residents to grow and share food grown in their gardens with their neighbours.  To help folks get started, we have secured funding to be able to provide gift certificates for gardening supplies that can be used to grow food (seed, nursery plants, soil, etc.)

Your garden can be small (containers) or large (acres), it's up to you.  To participate and be elegible to receive a gift certificate, you must commit to growing edible plant(s) that you will share with one or more neighbours or a local food bank

The gift certificate is redeemable at the Green Thumb Garden Centre and can to be used only for garden edibles and supplies (no flowers).  Quantities are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

As part of this initiative, we have another ZOOM workshop on Wednesday March 30 th at 7:30 pm with Mary Reid, owner of Green Thumb Garden Centre.   Mary will share tips and tricks for edibles in your gardening space.

This event has a group. You’re welcome to join the group once you register for the event.
