Overview
The City of Ottawa is undertaking a local traffic calming study for MacFarlane Road between Merivale Road and Deakin Street to address traffic safety concerns and to recommend solutions to reduce the negative impacts of motorized traffic on this community street. The main focus of the study is to explore solutions to help address speeding and pedestrian and cyclist safety concerns without adversely impacting vehicular access.

The City is hosting an online consultation for the MacFarlane Road Neighbourhood Traffic Calming study. The purpose of this online consultation is to confirm support for this study and to gather your feedback on your concerns related to traffic along MacFarlane Road.
We encourage interested members of the public to fill out the online survey below. It should only take about five to 10 minutes of your time and is available online until December 10, 2021:
